Position Available: Director of Development for Quiet Waters Ministries.

DESCRIPTION: Responsible for creating and implementing Quiet Waters Ministries’ strategic comprehensive campaign plan intended to raise gift income to support current operations and capital needs.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: Develops and implements a strategy for each donor. At Quiet Waters Ministries it is about the donor not the donation. Maintains accurate records of all strategy implementation to ensure effective follow through, evaluation, forecasting, and future planning. Ensures that all major donors are immediately, verbally thanked for their gifts. Identifies potential major donors through research, personal contacts and referrals, while developing and implementing a cultivation and solicitation strategy for each. Coordinates the efforts and details for securing all gifts including personal property, negotiable securities, real property and planned gifts. Develops and implements ways to educate and show appreciation to donors through appreciation events and personal invitations to the other activities. Pro-actively develops personal relationships with donors through telephone conversations, personal meetings, correspondence and answering prayer needs. Coordinates all correspondence related to donor communication efforts, through letters, telephone, publications, and direct mail in order to increase revenue. Manages the direct mail program to renew current donors, reclaim past donors and to acquire new donors.

Reports to the CEO/Executive Director

REQUIREMENTS
Professional Experience: Minimum of three years progressively successful experience in fund raising, preferably in a Christian organization. Certified Fund Raising Executive preferred. Capital campaign experience beneficial. Successful track record in soliciting major gifts from individuals and organizations. Documented experience in establishing or maintaining programs for fund raising. Demonstrated experience in writing successful fund raising direct mail and foundation proposals preferred.
Personal Qualifications: A personal and consistent relationship with Jesus Christ. An individual who has demonstrated spiritual leadership in both personal and professional relationships. Actively involved in a local Christ centered church. A person of moral integrity; above reproach. Committed to serving God, the body of Christ, Pastors, and Missionaries. Willing to sign the Quiet Waters Ministries/Bethesda Foundation Statement of Faith.
